1) Lift, push forward slightly, and carefully replace the tank. . 2) Lift the rear and prop it up. Use the Pork and Beans. 3) Replace the two small rubber hoses at the front left of the tank. 4) Install the new clamp on the hose that had the funky clamp. 5) Replace the two hoses and tighten the new clamp.

The main difference with the power output of the 1300 vs the Roadstar is the bore and stroke. The Roadstar has a longer stroke for more torque, where as the 1300 has a shorter stroke with higher compression. The 1300 was made to run at higher RPM range, so it's much quicker than the Roadstar.The Yamaha V Star has a 249cc air-cooled V-twin engine. It will provide plenty of bottom-end torque as well as smooth roll-on power. The downdraft carburetor will give you the best fuel/air mixing.
