2013 f150 sync 3 upgrade

If you have a 2016 F150, and you want Apple Car play, you must upgrade the USB port in the lower center dash to a 2017 or later port that is apple car play compatible. I just did the upgrade. When I went to Sync 3.4 I didn't get apple car play until I updated the USB port to a 2017 model I got off of Amazon.

I am assuming this is because 4D Tech uses a standalone GPS antenna rather than the Sync 3 combination Satellite Radio/GPS antenna. Display was programmed using my original VIN#.
