Under the bladesong, you'll have decent AC and it'll be hard to keep you from concentrating. You're not going to be as good a fighter as a fighter, but you'll be a much better fighter than most wizards, and a better wizard than an eldritch knight or arcane trickster., All those arguments for and against dual-wielding and/or using a 2handed weapon for bladesinging are ultimately going to be a decision made by the DM of your game.
