My main issue involves my media server, and file transfers over LAN/Ethernet. File transfers over LAN/ethernet from one Windows PC to another, used to transfer at speeds between 70 to 100 MB (MegaBytes) p/s., Since last Friday (2023-02-03), I have been having problems with my Verizon Fios CR1000A router. The 2.4Ghz wifi band just stops working, all the devices get disconnected and the router stops emitting in that frequency. The 5Ghz band keeps working just fine though. Note: in the picture the 2.4 ban..., CR1000A 2.4GHz Issues. Recently went back to TV from Internet only. I was sent one of those new CR1000a routers. The problem is that the router keeps dropping the 2.4GHz band, thus making most of my IoT Devices go offline. The IoT band is entirely unusable. I contacted Verizon technical support, and they sent out a total of 2 more, all doing ..., Our Verizon CR1000A router is on the first floor and my home office is on the second floor, probably 40 feet from the router in a straight line. I don't have separate SSIDs set up for 2.4 vs 5 Ghz bands currently, so when I'm up in the office my laptop defaults to the 2.4 Ghz band, which ends up being punishingly slow. Like, 1-3 Mbps up/down slow.
