I have 2015 Altima, I occasionally put it in sport mode and there is a noticeable difference ..., Depress the clutch pedal all the way and look for neutral on the gear stick halfway between third and fourth gear. The gear shift will move all the way to the left (over to first gear) and all the way to the right when the vehicle is in neutral. When a gear is selected, the gear stick will move very little left or right.
