Ford ranger motor swap options

looking to put more power in my truck for endoro raceing what engine would best fit my truck with least amount of work has a 2.9 v6 with auto tranny. I was told a 302 or 351W will bolt in my 87. I got a new 351W in my boat I am thinking of putting in so have been watching treads as to what all will be involved in this.
