I have a 2012 Hyundai Elantra limited with 67k miles and I’m the third owner. Since about September I’ve had this issue were the car will sometimes not turn on. There’s no engine code so it’s been difficult trying to pin point the issue. My dads a mechanic and we’ve changed a ..., long story short it started with low fuel press>fouled plugs/wires > MAF bad > FPR bad. i fixed the low fuel pressure with a missing o-ring in the fuel pump assembly, the wires and plugs probably got bad from running rich for too long and the MAF was just plain dirty. The fuel pressure regulator probably made the most difference., Mine did go in to limp mode and had random loss of 1st gear, and when in limp mode, would only go up to 4th once I did get it going. I did get a couple codes and engine light came on. Hyundai didn't acknowledge it, but there is a TSB issued for it, so I had to take it to a transmission shop, and they told me there were some factory ..., 2014 Santa Fe- knock sensor issue;limp mode.
