Mar 29, 2010 · We have had numerous inake heater relays fail on 3116/3126 engines. The C7 engines use a heavier relay. The earlier relays are to small to carry the 90+ amp load. On the 3116/3126 engines we have been using the Blue Bird relay that is used for the body heater/light functions. It does require replacing the terminal ends with something much heavier. There can be numerous reasons/causes for this code failure. 1. Test the individual and total injector return rates now. May be damaged injector nut, tube hole, rust in threads. 2.
