The Village Baking Company barely has a storefront, so you feel that you've found a secret, "insiders" place. It is a speakeasy for breads and baked goods. (Though plenty of people have written glowing things about it.) The breads here are simply extraordinary. The shop itself is about the size of walk-in closet.
Village Baking Co. focuses on family and building personal relationships with customers. The bakery began in 2004 when owner Clint Cooper saw a need for good bread in Texas. He had found a love for baking and decided to go to the San Francisco Baking Institute to learn about making French artisan bread and pastries.
