Aug 17, 2020 · No need to remove the pto pulley. Remove the 2 bolts holding the brake pad on. Then the belt will come off. To put the brake back on apply the pto. Place a business card between the brake pad and the pto bell. Hold it tight and tighten the bolts. Release the pto and remove business card. Ready to go. They are the same folks who made most of the WH seats, and they are identical to a factory item, minus the logo. I have cleaned up and painted the rims, but now need tires to go on them and I am having some trouble finding these ..., Terry, for the purpose of checking stator windings, the "ringer" is useless. The ringer generally is set up to ring at anything under a couple hundred ohms resistance. A good stator winding will be a near short - but not shorted. I ordered an ownners Maunal, and Parts Manual from Toro for my 310-8. The owners manual is part number 810500 and the Parts manual is 810547. I got mine in March 2007. If you cant get it let me know, If you have a particular question., My 310-8 gets more work than all my other horses with gas mileage as a bonus. As a side note it’s my humble opinion that the single Kohler 8 speed tractors are some of the most durable wheel horses ever built. That one inch axle is laughing at you. I found it at Advance, StongArm F4673 (center one in the picture below). It was $11.99, but if you buy two with the current sale flyer, they reduce them $2.50 each, so the final cost before tax was $9.49.
